A village on the shores of Sydney Harbour, Breakfast Point is distinguished by its coastal architecture and traditional interiors. Each building is distinctly unique by design, yet all co-exist harmoniously to create a cohesive and thoughtful community.
Acacia is an exclusive residence of just fifty custom apartments in a boutique five-storey building.
Lick colour was engaged to provide an exterior colour upgrade and interior design services for Acacia, including upgrades to the lobby and common areas for all five levels.
Careful consideration was given to the external colour selections to ensure a fit with the aesthetic of the exclusive gated community. It was also important to introduce a colour scheme not previously used in the precinct to provide some individuality.
The weatherboard cladding has been featured, with a muted blue-green shade highlighting the architectural detail and a warm grey-neutral anchoring the projected balconies. The general broad wall areas have been treated with a subtle green undertone white providing visual contrast with the white trims that are consistent across all buildings.
The lobby entrance walls have been clad with a custom-designed wainscotting. Charcoal herringbone carpet reinforces the traditional Hamptons feel.
A contemporary multi-ring pendant is the main focus in the double height lobby window, effectively drawing you into the building from the streetscape.
Interior walls are a very pale shade of duck egg blue to tie in with the the exterior colours. Apartment doors have been highlighted with a warm charcoal to create a focal point of entry for residents.
To maximise visual comfort, downlighting has been upgraded with a high out-put LED. Up-down surface mounted wall lights, with an adjustable beam angle, exaggerate ceiling heights, and create a shadow-play of light running down the corridors.
The sublime palette of soft, calming hues juxtaposes with the contemporary lighting design to create an elegant and engaging ambience.
