We were engaged to develop and Art Deco-inspired colour scheme for a grand, but run down, building on Coogee Bay road.
The stately residence occupies a massive corner block, overlooking the beachside suburb of Coogee.
The owners wanted the new colour scheme to be sympathetic to the buildings heritage.
Whole-heartedly embracing the site and residents brief, we created a joyful balance of soft duck-egg blues with lavender highlights, accenting some of the more interesting elements on the facade.
The basalt grey boundary wall anchors this feminine beauty to the streetscape in a very contemporary way.
The transformation simultaneously conveys strength and sensitivity, truly embodying the Art Deco Period.
